Sally Preston

Sally is a tax guru, who is a bit of a nerd at times, but sometimes you just need a nerd! She is also a mother of five (nearly all) adult children, soon to be a grandmother, and a gym instructor.

Sally brings a fresh, practical approach to business and tax, with extensive experience advising clients of all sizes – from listed public companies to individuals – across both advisory and compliance. Known for her ability to distil the complexities of Australian taxation into clear, practical advice, Sally focuses on delivering informed, real-world solutions that achieve the best possible outcomes for clients.

She sits on The Tax Institute’s Queensland State Council and hosts the tax and business podcast SMARTEN UP! Sally’s energy, diverse experience and technical expertise underpin the delivery of practical, real-world solutions for you and your business.

Sally is also a strong advocate of the broader accounting, business and tax community and regularly contributes through training, writing, and speaking on tax and business matters.

Sally is a Business Owner, Chartered Tax Adviser, Chartered Accountant, Tax Agent and holds a Master of Applied Taxation.

Michael Garrone

Michael Garrone has over 20 years practical hands-on experience in accounting and taxation and there is not much he hasn't seen!

Michael delivers a fresh approach to accounting, tax and business. His expertise and experience are highly regarded in the industry, yet he is accessible and easy to work with. He provides options, explains his advice with clarity and he is committed to empowering clients to make informed decisions. With a high level of emotional intelligence, Michael has a genuine care for achieving the best possible outcome for his clients.

Michael is a Business Owner, Chartered Tax Adviser, Chartered Accountant, Certified Chair and Tax Agent.

Luke Boyle

Luke Boyle works with Michael in the Mage team and brings over 10 years’ experience in the industry, Luke blends his real-world commercial experience with a technical public practice background to deliver practical solutions.

Luke is an experienced adviser with almost a decade of experience working with small to medium enterprises and the business owners behind them. This is complimented by his experience in second tier accounting firms and commerce, working as a finance manager and separately as a treasurer for a large state-based charity.

Luke is a Chartered Accountant and is currently working towards becoming a Chartered Tax Advisor.
